The Kremlin is aware of the situation on the gasoline market, said the press Secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov.
According to him, the issue must be addressed by the government. He noted that this topic is now actively engaged in the Cabinet — «we are taking very active, energetic measures.»
On the eve of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev commented on the increase in gasoline prices.
«I would like one important position to identify, <…> it concerns a huge number of people. I mean the prices of petroleum products. Despite the measures taken, still in many cases the rise in gasoline prices,» — said Medvedev.
In this regard he instructed the Ministry of energy and Kozak together with the oil companies to prepare and adopt a work plan and «custodial agreement» to maintain prices of petroleum products on the domestic market.

He noted that the situation is tense. According to the Vice Premier, it is necessary not only to ensure the saturation of the market with the necessary volume of fuel, but also to guarantee positive margins for independent gas stations.
«We need to lower wholesale prices. Winky (a vertically integrated oil company. — Approx. ed.) for its gas stations have the opportunity today to hold the prices at gas stations Vinca problems do not exist. But 60% of gas stations we have today is not owned by VIOCs, so you need to find a way out of this situation», — concluded the Deputy Prime Minister.
The fuel rose sharply in the spring. By mid-April the retail price of gasoline has exceeded 40 rubles, and by the beginning of June there were already 43 of the ruble. The government decided to reduce the excise tax on gasoline and diesel fuel, and agreed with the manufacturers fixing the prices at 30 may. However, according to Rosstat, in September, gasoline prices increased by ten percent compared to August.
Early next year the completion of the tax maneuver in the oil industry to curb domestic fuel prices.
