A memorial service for the innocent victims in the sky over Sinai took place Wednesday morning in the Trinity-Izmailovsky Cathedral in St. Petersburg, the correspondent of RIA Novosti.
The largest in the history of Russian and Soviet aviation accident occurred October 31, 2015: Airbus A321 airline «Kogalymavia» carrying out flight 9268 Sharm El-Sheikh to St. Petersburg, crashed on the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt. Onboard there were 217 passengers and seven crew members, they all died. FSB qualifies the incident as a terrorist attack. Official recognition in Russia this version is not currently received.
In addition, Wednesday on the occasion of the third anniversary of the tragedy in the Vsevolozhsk district of the Leningrad region at a memorial «memory Garden» will be held a mourning rally in memory of those killed in the crash. This memorial is a corridor of pointed plates on which are engraved the names of all 224 dead. Between the plates are cylindrical structures resembling organ pipes.
Last Sunday on the Champ de Mars in the Northern capital has passed the action of memory «the Living plane». The participants lined up in rows with pictures of the dead, as were some passengers in the cabin A321, performing flight 9268.
