In 2017, the Nizhny Novgorod region was included into number of pilot regions participating in the Federal priority program «Improving productivity and support employment.» The work is organized by the government jointly with the state Corporation «Rosatom» on the basis of the principles of lean manufacturing. The implemented technology allows enterprises to enter the new capacity without using capital expenditure.
«Nizhny Novgorod oblast became the leader of the project «Effective region». We are equal, we come to learn from experience. All the tasks that the regional government had, we a little each month, but exceeded. If it was originally planned to implement measures to increase labour productivity by 12 enterprises, today they are being implemented in 18 industrial organizations. In addition, the project includes an additional sector of the economy. At the start we did not plan to include agriculture, and now two pilot agricultural enterprises included in this work», — quotes the press-service of the word Nikitin.
He noted that now the government’s task — to bring intermediate results, to identify strategic goals and to 2024, to raise productivity by 30% for 100 manufacturing industries in the region.
«But I think we should constantly work on raising the bar. The scale of the Nizhny Novgorod region and its industrial potential allows to count on more serious results. More than 200 enterprises have to enter the project for the improvement of productivity. This is the task which I set for the project office and the governments of the region in 2024,» — said Nikitin.
