The export of Moldovan wine in Russia is growing, this trend should be strengthened, said Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with a colleague from Moldova Igor Dodon.

«With regard to wine raw wine imported from Moldova, that number is growing,» — said Putin.

According to him, last year was delivered 14 million litres, and in the first half of this year, 8.5 million liters. «We will continue to work», — said Putin.

He assumed the position of President of Moldova on 23 December 2016. According to his election program, he intends to restore the strategic partnership with Russia, the return of Moldovan products to the Russian market and to normalize the cooperation in the energy sector. He has repeatedly said that Moldova «is vital to restore relations with Russia.»
