Russia opposed the closed session of the UN security Council on the elections in Donbass

The UN security Council has not given the opportunity to speak at its meeting on the elections in the Donbass, the head of the CEC of the self-proclaimed Luhansk people’s Republic Yelena Kravchenko, voting against making it in the agenda of the meeting.

For its part voted in favor of Russia. France, USA, Sweden, Poland, the Netherlands, the UK voted against, the rest of the country-participants of the meeting abstained.

The meeting of the security Council, which requested the countries which voted against the participation Kravchenko, initially requested by them as closed. However, Russia, according to the Ambassador, Nebuni Basil, were against such initiatives and requested an open vote.

Elections of heads and deputies of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics scheduled to be held on November 11. Kiev has already declared that does not recognize the elections.
