The growth of prices for goods and services again became for Russians the most important problem, whereas the issue of poverty and low income ranked second among the major problems of the society, said the research holding «ROMIR», which is available to RIA Novosti.

The survey polled 1.5 thousand respondents aged over 18 from all types of settlements and Federal districts of Russia. Similar studies were conducted by the holding company in previous years, it allows to trace the dynamics of changing relations of people in the country to the problems of society.

«This year, the most significant issues for the Russians were again high prices prices and inflation. This was stated by 72% of participants in a nationwide poll conducted by the research holding «ROMIR» in October. In 2018, the share of those concerned with high cost of goods and services, as well as inflation, was the second largest in the entire history of observations — the above figure was only in 2014″, — stated in the message.

In 2017, the problem of rising prices worried 56% of respondents as the most important issue for the Russians last year was the poverty and low wages (66%). A survey of 2018 showed that poverty and low wages are concerned 62% of the population is below that in the year 2017, but higher than in previous years. Third place in the ranking of the problems took corruption (43%).

«It should be noted that this value was the highest in five years,» points «ROMIR». In 2017, the corruption was concerned, 36% of respondents. In turn unemployment as the internal problems companies have chosen 42% of Russians (in 2017 — 36%). Holding notes that this year the figure has also been found most important in the entire history of observations.

«The attention of the Russians to the difficulties in the housing sector, which said 31% of respondents slightly exceeded the values of previous years, but decreased in comparison with 2013 and 2014 (by 6 percentage points and 7 percentage points respectively),» added the study. In addition, 30% of Russians singled out among social problems, drug abuse, 27% — the increase in crime, 23% — the weakness of state power, and 12% on international and regional issues, 11% of delays in payment of salaries and pensions, the same — the problem of migrants, 10% of the ethnic problems within the country.
