Russian Deputy foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov held meetings with ambassadors of Kuwait and the UAE Abdulaziz al-Advani and Macadam al-Haili to discuss the situation in Syria, Yemen and the Persian Gulf, reported the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Russia.

Two meetings took place on 1 November, which, in addition to the situation in the middle East, discussed a bilateral agenda of Russian-Kuwaiti and Russian-UAE relations.

The conflict in Yemen between Shiite Houthi rebels from the movement «Ansar Allah» and the government continues in 2014. On the government side, the war intervened and created Saudi Arabia, the coalition of Arab countries that regularly carry out airstrikes on the Houthis captured the area.

Armed conflict in Syria lasts since 2011. At the end of 2017, it was announced victory over the banned in Russia by the group ISIS* in Syria and Iraq. In some areas of Syria with the assistance of videoconferencing continue to sweep from the militants. At the moment the most important is a political settlement, restoration of Syria, and the return of refugees.
