XXII meeting of the world Russian people’s Council (WRPC), devoted to the theme «25 years towards public dialogue and civilizational development of Russia» will take place on Thursday at the State Kremlin Palace under the chairmanship of Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill.

In the plenary session of the ARNS, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the organization, will take part the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, reported the press service of the Kremlin.

«This year’s world Russian people’s Council celebrates 25th anniversary: this date is important for members and partners of the Cathedral in Russia and abroad. In the course of the Cathedral is planned to summarize the organization’s activities for a quarter of a century of its existence, and to discuss further prospects of its development», — said the press service of the ARNS.

According to the organizers, the work of the Council will be attended by the representatives of all branches of government, politicians, leaders of public associations, figures of science, education and culture, religious leaders, delegates of Russian communities from near and far abroad. The plenary session will be held a festive concert.

«The world Russian people’s Council is the largest public forum and intellectual center, playing a significant role in shaping the public space of Russia. The Cathedral as a public organization representing the interests of the Russian people, making a significant contribution to the discussion of all important and urgent for our state and society issues», — reminded in the ARNS.

International public organization «world Russian people’s Council» was founded in 1993, the head of the ARNS is the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia. Since 2005, the Cathedral was granted special consultative status at the UN.
