Russian counter-sanctions against several Ukrainian citizens and companies an adequate response to the consistent rabid Russophobic policy of Kiev, said the head of the Duma Committee on international Affairs Leonid Slutsky.

On Thursday, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a government resolution on measures to implement the presidential decree «On application of special economic measures in connection with the unfriendly actions of Ukraine in relation to citizens and legal entities of the Russian Federation». They touch 322 68 physical and legal entities.

«The introduction of counter-sanctions of Russia concerning a number of Ukrainian citizens and companies — is an adequate response to the consistent rabid Russophobic policy and the breakdown of relations between the two brotherly peoples. Fault for breaking the age-old historical relations today lies entirely on the current Kiev authorities dancing to the tune of the Far West. And Russia here enters the first restriction — we give a balanced response to the illegal action, as is customary in international practice», — said Slutsky reporters.

He noted that the measures are not aimed against the Ukrainian people and «relate only to those individual blinded by the Washington representatives of the Kiev elite, which, frankly, are undermining the foundations of the Russian world.»
