Former first Deputy Director of Department of property relations of administration of Omsk Vadim Merenkov will stand trial on charges of abuse of office that led to budget losses in the sum more than 1 billion rubles, according to the regional public Prosecutor and investigatory management SK the Russian Federation.

«The Prosecutor’s office of Omsk region approved the indictment on criminal case concerning the former first Deputy Director of Department of property relations of administration of Omsk. He is accused of committing a crime under article of the criminal code «Excess of powers of office with causing of heavy consequences», — is spoken in the message of Prosecutor’s office.

According to the UK, in 2008-2009 because of the actions of officials actually refused recovery of receivables from OOO «DSK «Stroybeton» in the amount of more than 1 billion rubles under the contract of purchase and sale of rights to lease nine land plots for housing construction, damage the city budget in the form of lost profits. At the same time building the organization for several years, almost gratuitously used the land for their needs.

«The guilt of the accused is not admitted, but the consequence collected sufficient evidentiary base in this connection criminal case with the approved indictment will soon transferred to the Central district court of Omsk for consideration», — reported in the investigation Department.
