The abolition of visas for foreign participants of international exhibitions in Russia will lead to an increase in their numbers, said Friday the General Director of «Expocentre» Sergei Bednov.

The Russian Union of exhibitions and fairs (RUEF) on Friday on the sidelines of 85 global Congress of the world Association of the exhibition industry (UFI) holds the seminar «Focus on Russia», dedicated to doing business in Russia.

Speaking at the seminar, Chairman of the Committee for tourism development of St. Petersburg Evgeniy Pankevich said that the city government will actively use for large Congress events «feature called Fan ID, which was actively implemented during the world Cup».

«I would like to support Eugene Pankiewicz, he made beautiful, from my point of view, the idea is to spread this Fan ID that was on the world Cup, to make for the participants of international exhibitions a visa-free regime. It would be even more facilitated the participation of many exhibitors in our exhibitions,» said the Bednov.
