The IMF experts will visit Kyiv from 4 to 9 November consultation on the draft budget for 2019, the adoption of which is a condition of granting Ukraine a tranche, announced on Saturday, the IMF resident representative in Ukraine Jost Longman.

Earlier, first Deputy head of the regulator Ekaterina Rozhkova said that the national Bank expects that the tranche of the loan from the IMF in the framework of the new cooperation program will be $ 1.5- $ 1.9 billion. She noted that the main condition for getting these funds is the adoption of Ukraine’s state budget by 2019.

«At the request of the authorities, a team consisting of a number of IMF experts will visit Kyiv in the period from 4 to 9 November for consultations on the draft budget for 2019 in the context of the recent agreements at the level of the Fund’s mission,» — quoted Longman press service.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman on October 19 stated that Kiev and the IMF as a result of negotiations agreed on a new program that will begin operating in 2019. The IMF confirmed that it has reached an agreement with the Ukrainian government on a new credit loan for 14 months, the amount of funding equivalent to $ 3.9 billion. The Fund intends to endorse a new programme for Ukraine this year following the adoption of the state budget of Ukraine for the year 2019.
