The restoration project of the monument to Kuzma Minin and Prince Dmitry Pozharsky in Moscow can prepare by March 2019, reported RIA Novosti head of public relations of the State historical Museum Maria Lemigova.
Earlier, the State historical Museum (GIM) announced the collection of funds for the restoration of the monument to Minin and Pozharsky, the required amount — 46 million rubles. The monument was erected on the red square 200 years ago in honor of the Russian victory over the militias of foreign invaders in 1612. The monument was created on public donations. At the end of 2016, the monument was formally transferred to the GIM. Experts have studied the monument and came to the conclusion that his condition is causing the concerns, after which it was decided to carry out restoration work. At the moment it is collected about 2.5 million rubles.
«The restoration project we plan to next spring, in March. I think that the first results of the research we will be able to announce in December», — said the Agency interlocutor.
According to her, the sample in the condition of the monument, the professionals will take after the parade on red square on 7 November. Lemigova said that to determine the stages of the restoration work only after detailed studies and conclusions of the team of restorers.
Specialists will reflect the methodology of restoration of the monument in the final draft. «We need to ensure that the project was approved by the Ministry of culture, then everything will be clear», — concluded the Agency interlocutor.
