The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has congratulated Russians on national unity Day, noting that Russia today is one of the developed and powerful States, able to repel any enemy.

The head of Chechnya said that the unity and harmony of the nation are of great importance to achieve and maintain political, economic and military stability.

«You can build modern cities, build highways, to make the world’s best products, but they will not save if people are not United as a single goal, objectives and ways of achieving them and decision,» he wrote in a Telegram messenger.

In addition, Kadyrov said that many countries and tyrants sought to invade Russia, but they fled, leaving their army.

«And today Russia is one of the most developed and powerful States able to rebuff any enemy. This is the great merit of our national leader, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin», — wrote Kadyrov.

National unity day in Russia became an official holiday in 2005. It was established to commemorate the events of 1612, when the militia led by Kuzma Minin and Prince Dmitry Pozharsky liberated Moscow from Polish invaders. The militia stormed China town on 22 October. This date — 22 October according to the Julian calendar, or November 4 on Gregorian calendar — was chosen as the national holiday.
