The volcano Ebeko in the Kuril island of Paramushir on Sunday spewed a column of ash height of 4.5 km, the press service of EMERCOM in the Sakhalin region.

«The fact that the volcano Ebeko observed ash plume to a height of 4.5 kilometers, arrived in control centre in crisis situations of EMERCOM of Russia. The plume has spread in a North-easterly direction from the volcano to a distance of 5 kilometers,» — said in a press release.

According to the Agency, the city of Severo-Kurilsk (Paramushir district) palapala not registered, the odor of hydrogen sulfide is not felt. Threat to the life of the population there.

Record release for Ebeko was August 31 of this year. Then a column of smoke billowed to a height of six kilometers from the new crater of the volcano, formed in 2017.

The Ebeko volcano with a height of 1156 meters is located seven kilometres North-West of Severo-Kurilsk in the Northern part of the Vernadsky ridge.
