Review mission of the International monetary Fund (IMF) on Monday starts work in Belarus, told RIA Novosti the representative of the Fund in the Republic.

«The IMF mission starts working in Belarus on Monday and will be in the country on November 15. Scheduled appointments in a number of ministries, representatives of the national Bank of the Republic,» — said the representative office.

According to him, the purpose of work traditional annual mission will review the current economic situation in the country and continued consultations with the authorities on economic policy measures. The mission is headed by the Deputy chief of Department of the countries of North-Eastern Europe of the European Department of the IMF Jacques Minyan.

Last summer there was a pause in the negotiations of Belarus with the IMF on a new program of cooperation involving a loan of about $ 3 billion under of 2.28% per annum for ten years. The parties have differing views regarding the speed of reforms in Belarus, in particular, the issue of raising tariffs for utility services. In February the Ministry of Finance do not exclude that the resumption of fully fledged negotiations with the IMF on allocation to Minsk of the credit can occur in 2020-2021 years.
