The use of the United States and its allies to unilateral sanctions and protectionist measures are not able to undermine Russian-Chinese cooperation, said Tuesday the Deputy Chairman of the government of the Russian Federation Maxim Akimov.

«A complication of the overall situation in the world, the use of the United States and its allies to unilateral sanctions and unfair unilateral protectionist measures, all these reckless and short-sighted steps are not able to undermine Russian-Chinese cooperation and our dialogue with you,» said Governors during the meeting in expanded format Russian-Chinese Commission for preparing regular meetings of heads of government.

In his words, «the importance of Sino-Russian cooperation not only for our countries and peoples, but for the entire world in terms of maintaining global stability, development and dialogue of a multipolar world yesterday stressed at the meeting the Chairman of the government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev and the Chinese President XI Jinping».

Akimov also noted that «in the first eight months of the current year the trade turnover was close to 70 billion U.S. dollars, and we have every reason to expect that by the end of the year will be overcome a record $ 100 billion dollars.»

He added that «we are successfully cooperating in the energy sphere, Russia many years a leader in the supply of «black gold» in China, the breakthrough agreement reached in the nuclear industry, broad prospects are stored for export to China other energy sources».

«There is a common understanding and a mutual desire to develop cooperation in high-tech industries in the field of civil aviation, space, industry, no less important, efforts to remove barriers where we have made significant progress in removing these barriers to enhance trade in agricultural products», — he concluded.
