Japan believes that when deciding about the exception, along with several other countries from the effect of oil sanctions against Iran, Washington has considered its position on this issue, told RIA Novosti at the Japanese foreign Ministry.

«Japan accepts the fact that she was bred (from the effect of sanctions against Iran – ed.) as a result of their appeals to the United States and that Japan’s position was considered by the United States. Henceforth, Japan and the United States will hold an exchange of views on this issue. Still Japan approached US with a request to do so (these measures – ed.) has not had a negative impact on Japanese companies. We believe that the published statement of the United States (the exception for the 180 days of a number of countries, including Japan, from the effect of sanctions against Iran – ed.) were taken into account this basic position of Japan», — said the Agency interlocutor.

To date, the Japanese foreign Ministry has refrained from comments about what would be the volume of exported oil from Iran, but «will closely monitor what impact taken by the United States.»

«In addition, our country will continue to exchange views with the United States, in order to avoid negative impact on Japanese companies», — told RIA Novosti the foreign Ministry.

The President of the United States Donald trump announced in may that Washington is out of agreement with Iran on its nuclear program. He also reported the return of all sanctions against Iran including secondary, that is, against other countries doing business with Iran. Once again, the U.S. has enacted on August 7 some of the sanctions against Iran. More substantial sanctions, which will cover the export of oil, entered into force on 5 November. Washington has said it aims to bring Iranian oil exports down to zero and urged its customers to abandon such purchases.

On Monday, the Finance Ministry said that the US is making in the sanctions list of more than 700 individuals, organizations, aircraft and ships to Iran. The US Secretary of state Mike Pompeo announced that Washington provides temporary exceptions to the oil sanctions to China, India, Italy, Greece, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Turkey.
