Alert at railway stations in Madrid and Barcelona proved to be false, reported by Spanish law enforcement.

«Our agents conducted appropriate checks on the Atocha station in Madrid and we are talking about a false alarm», — is spoken in the police message on Twitter, adding that «the situation is normalized».

Earlier the railway company Renfe announced that the station was evacuated on the orders of the police.

Wednesday for a while was interrupted by a message from the Barcelona Sants station. Law enforcement agencies of the Catalan Mossos d’esquadra reported that specialists in the disposal of explosives TEDAX check the path of the AVE (high speed train) at the station Sants of Barcelona, following the security protocols.

Representatives of the Catalan law enforcement explained that security ADIF recorded through the scanner «object in the form of a possible explosive device inside a suitcase». Passengers reported on social networks that they were sent for re-checking Luggage.

Currently, the movement of trains on the Barcelona station is restored. As reported by the Mossos d’esquadra, was carried out additional checks of «suspicious subject» and it «poses no danger».
