Several dozen people held in the Ukrainian city of Kherson rally: first claimed the police report on the investigation into the murder of the mayor mayor Catherine Gandzyuk, and then threw smoke bombs the building of the police Department in Kherson region, said Wednesday the participant, the head of the NGO «Care» Sergey Sternenko.

Gandzyuk, which 31 July in Kherson poured concentrated sulfuric acid on Sunday died in hospital. Militiamen carry out investigative actions.

Sternenko published Wednesday on his Facebook page photos from the rally near the building of regional police Department. The photo shows how the protesters threw smoke bombs, the building of law enforcement agencies. The protesters also vandalized a police building portraits Gandzyuk and wrote «Murderers on the bench.»

Sternenko wrote that the protesters were met by a representative of law enforcement officers, with whom conversation on the raised tones. However, he was not able to meet the activists on the question of who is responsible for the death of Gandzyuk.

In summer, Ukrainian police reported that unknown persons doused Gandzyuk concentrated sulfuric acid. The victim with burns were hospitalized and all this time was in a serious condition in hospital. Militiamen investigated case about attempt at murder, but after her death on Sunday reclassified to custom-made murder. The head of national police of Ukraine Sergey Knyazev said that the law enforcers detained six suspects in the case. The court arrested four of them. Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko said on Tuesday it will submit a resignation because of allegations of bad faith in the investigation.
