Perm JSC «ODK-OLD» (part of United engine Corporation of the rostec state Corporation) has received a certificate of the Federal air transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) for the right to develop civil aircraft, allowing the company to produce components for the new Russian PD-14, said on Wednesday the press service of the Governor of the Perm region.

«The certificate gives the company the right to manufacture, upgrading, maintenance, and other activities in respect of components of control systems of engines of civil aircraft, including one of the components of the new aircraft engine PD-14 (electronic engine controller RED-14)», — stated in the message.

In a press-service also added, citing the managing Director of JSC «ODK-OLD» Sergei Ostapenko, head of the Department of the results of the document allows you to «go to the next step of creating a PD-14 engine, receiving the approving documents to EASA».

Earlier, the Federal air transport Agency has issued the type certificate for the new Russian PD-14 engine for passenger aircraft MS-21, which actually confirms the readiness of the aircraft engine to implement and operate.

The PD-14 engine intended for prospective family of medium-haul aircraft MS-21 (150-220 seats). In comparison with analogues, in operation the declared parameters of the engine and to reduce specific fuel consumption in cruise mode by 15%.
