Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with the permanent members of the security Council of Russia, the situation after the introduction of United States sanctions against Iran, as well as issues of preparation to the CSTO summit, said the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.

«The meeting participants exchanged views on the situation that emerged after the introduction of United States sanctions against Iran,» he said. «Was accented the illegal nature of such actions,» — said Peskov.

«In preparation for the scheduled for this week’s visit to Astana at the meeting also raised issues of the CSTO,» — said the spokesman.

«Discussed current issues of socio-economic nature», — he added.

The meeting was attended by the speakers of both chambers of Parliament Valentina Matvienko, Vyacheslav Volodin, the head of the Kremlin administration Anton Vaino, security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov, head of the SVR, Sergei Naryshkin, special envoy of the President on issues of environmental activities, environment and transport Sergei Ivanov.
