ROMIR told how many journalists trust the facts from the Russian media

Presented in Russian media facts trust 70% of journalists in the country and 64% of their colleagues from the CIS countries, according to the results of the research holding «ROMIR» at the disposal of RIA Novosti.

Western sources are trusted by 45% of journalists from Russia and 60% of their colleagues from the CIS countries. Thus do not use the information of foreign media, 10% and 5% respectively.

In addition, journalists from neighboring countries almost always use the materials of Russian mass media for messages about Russia, it follows from the results of the study. «In the preparation of materials on Russian journalists from the CIS in most cases are based on the Russian edition of 91% and on the local media – 86%. Western sources for articles about our country use 64%», — told in «Romira».

«On the West articles and stories of journalists from neighboring countries write, relying primarily on the Western media – 86%, however many of the respondents (82%) get their information from Russian publications. Local sources in the preparation of materials about the countries of the West in the CIS read 77%», — stated in the materials.

In turn, the Russian journalists receive information about the countries of the CIS both from domestic and from the local press of the country, which make the material – 85%. Information from the Western media used by 70% of authors.

«It is curious that in the preparation of articles and stories about events in the West, 80% of Russian journalists read the Russian edition, and the Western appeared in this ranking in second place – they’re 75% of the respondents. Another quarter said that they read the materials in the publications of the CIS countries,» the study says.
