Russia increased LNG exports by 63%

Russia in January-September increased exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) by 63% compared to the same period of 2017 to 29.2 million cubic meters, and natural gas export — by 8.4%, to 165,9 billion cubic meters, according to data of the Federal customs service (FCS).

Russia’s earnings from exports of LNG in January-September increased to 80,8% in comparison with the same period in 2017, reaching 4.1 billion dollars.

In September, the LNG exports decreased 2.3 times in comparison with August, to 2.4 million cubic meters. Russia’s earnings from LNG exports decreased in 2,4 times — to 391,8 million dollars.

Russia’s earnings from the export of natural gas for the reporting period grew by 31.3% — to 35.3 billion dollars. The export of gas in September declined 6.9% compared to August to 17.3 billion cubic meters, the revenues from gas exports in September decreased by 2% to 4.04 billion dollars.

In 2017, according to the Federal customs service, Russia exported 210,2 billion cubic meters of gas by 38.1 billion.
