Platforms to resolve out of court disputes arising from the purchase of goods and services via the Internet, will soon appear in Russia, said RIA Novosti in the press service of the ANO «Digital economy».

«Disputes arising from the purchase of goods and services through the Internet, can be settled pre-trial on the platforms. The corresponding bill was approved by the working group on the legal regulation of the ANO «Digital economy», the meeting of which was held on 7 November at the site of the Ministry of economic development of the Russian Federation», — said the Agency interlocutor. The bill will now be submitted for consideration to the Russian government.

«In the process of resolving a dispute using the system side, according to the bill, can search vzaimodeistviyami solutions. For example, instead of customer requirements to eliminate product defects and arrange for the return of goods and refund to the consumer by providing discounts on future purchases,» — said the press service.

According to developers of the document, the necessity of creating in Russia a system of online dispute resolution in this area due to the increasing number of consumer complaints related to online shopping and providing online services. And, in addition, it is necessary to reduce the costs of consumers and the state to conduct judicial protection of violated rights of buyers, business administration processing and storing of consumer claims in paper form, they say.

The bill provides for free use of the platform by consumers and recipients of their demands, faithfully participating in the procedures of the system — mitigation of responsibility for violations of the law «On protection of consumer rights».
