The constitutional court has received a request for verification of the agreement on the border between Chechnya and Ingushetia

The request of the head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov about compliance of the Constitution of the agreement on the establishment of the border between Chechnya and Ingushetia arrived in the constitutional court of the Russian Federation, confirmed to RIA Novosti in the press service of the court.

«I can confirm that the request of the head of Ingushetia Yevkurov about compliance of the Constitution of the agreement on the establishment of the border between the Republic of Ingushetia and the Chechen Republic today arrived in the constitutional court», — have informed in a press-service. COP added that the document is a preliminary examination in the Secretariat of the court, the consideration will be in the usual manner.

Earlier, the head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov said that the legality of the agreement on the border of Ingushetia with Chechnya should assess Russia’s constitutional court and not the constitutional court of the Russian Federation. In late October, the constitutional court of Ingushetia ruled the law, approved an agreement on the border with Chechnya, contradictory to the Constitution of Ingushetia. Yevkurov and the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov on September 26 signed an agreement on the definition of the boundary between their regions, which provides for an equivalent exchange of territories. The parliaments of Chechnya and Ingushetia approved the border agreement. In the constitutional court of Ingushetia said that the agreement can be approved only by a referendum. The country began protests, including at place de La Concorde in Magas. From 8 October the rally was sanctioned and was held at a new venue — near the building of the national broadcasting company.

With representatives of the protesters met the Plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in skfo Alexander Matovnikov and the head of Department on internal policy of presidential administration of Russia Andrey Yarin. The term sanctioned rally was due to expire on 17 October, the regional authorities agreed a new action, which will be held at the same venue from October 31 to November 2. On the same day the organizers of the rally decided to suspend him until October 31.
