The statements of Donald trump in which he blamed the Obama administration for «losing Crimea», testify to his ignorance and aggressive instincts, writes the American magazine The American Conservative.

Earlier, the US President has repeatedly stated that «Obama has let the Crimea go» and said, «I could take this thing a completely different position,» adding that «President Putin doesn’t respect President Obama.»

As the newspaper notes, these statements sound very stupid. Even here it is not the important phrase, and the implication of his statements, which means that the American President can «allow» or not «allow» the other major nuclear powers certain actions.

According to trump, Obama could and should have been able to stop it, but there was nothing he could do, in addition to unleashing a third world war, says the magazine. However, the trump because of his ignorance and aggressive instincts thinks otherwise. Moreover, Crimea is not related to the vital interests of the United States, and because of this, just not worth it to start a war. If trump thinks otherwise, then he’s even more reckless and irresponsible than we think.

The American President talks about Crimea as if he was part of the United States, and it was stolen, the publication adds. By itself, the phrase «losing Crimea» discards the rhetoric of the cold war, when the US had the delusion that she is able to «save» and «lose» the whole country.

This kind of thinking is divorced from reality nonsense, and it is very dangerous if the President of the United States looks into international crises. Obama should not have to risk a world war whatever world events may happen, which he did, says The American Conservative.

How trump annoyingly mumbling about the loss of part of the country, which is not even an American ally, shows just how far he is from the real foreign policy under the slogan «America above all», concludes the edition.
