The Indonesian authorities on Saturday concluded a search for victims of the crashed airplane of the airline Lion Air in less than two weeks after the disaster, reports Channel News Asia, citing the head of the search and rescue works of Muhammad Sagi.

«In the period from yesterday until today, we weren’t able to find the victims, and therefore claim that the search and rescue operation is completed. We apologize to the public, especially the families of the victims, if during the operation, we are unable to satisfy everyone’s desires,» said Saugy.

However, it is reported that the search for the second black box of the crashed airliner continued.

The Boeing 737 Max, the Indonesian budget airline Lion Air, departing on 29 October in the morning from Jakarta to one of the Islands near the island of Sumatra, 13 minutes after takeoff crashed into the sea off the coast of West Java.
