The Federal air transport Agency denied information of the airline «Victory» on the faulty equipment at the airport of Kaliningrad and declares that the low-cost airline introduces passengers and the media to mislead, knowingly providing inaccurate information. Such comments were given to RIA Novosti in the Department.

In the district of Kaliningrad Khrabrovo airport on Thursday and Friday, heavy fog with visibility of 100-150 meters. The representative of «Victory» (enters into group «Aeroflot») has told RIA Novosti that the airline was forced to cancel some flights to Kaliningrad and from Thursday and Friday due to a technical fault in the air port (Khrabrovo).

«The bus is certified for category I meteorological conditions ICAO, allows for the landing of aircrafts when visibility on the runway not less than 550 meters (or meteorological visibility not less than 800 meters) and the decision altitude of not less than 60 metres. Information on meteorological conditions for category I includes all airlines who plan and operate flights to Kaliningrad. It is published in the aeronautical collections,» — said the Federal air transport Agency on Friday.

They added that the II category of ICAO meteorological conditions will be assigned to the airfield in 2019 after the installation of appropriate equipment locator review airfield or multilateration surveillance system. If category II is permitted landing when visibility on the runway not less than 300 meters and the height of the decision not less than 30 metres.

The fog, which is now in Kaliningrad, does not allow a landing, even in airports that have ICAO category II.

«The leadership of the airline «Victory» is recommended to focus additional efforts on providing passengers with delayed flight in full compliance with the requirements of the Federal aviation regulations and to provide a full range of additional services to passengers delayed flights in adverse weather conditions», — concluded the Federal air transport Agency.
