Deputy defense Minister Colonel-General Yuri Sadovenko participated in the «Geographic dictation» at the Ryazan airborne school, the Department of information and mass communications of the Russian defense Ministry.

«Today, on 11 November 2018, Deputy Minister of defence of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Yuri Sadovenko during a visit to the guards of the Ryazan higher airborne twice red banner order of Suvorov command school named for army General V. F. Margelov (RVVDKU) took part in the annual international educational campaign «Geographic dictation», — stated in the message.

The Deputy Minister together with the command of the airborne troops faculty cadets and answered questions of the dictation, checking their knowledge in the field of geography and showing interest in the military to the geography of the state. «Compared to last year the number of participants in the dictation in the Armed Forces increased almost eight-fold, from 18 to 137 thousand!» — leads the Department of speech, Sadovenko.

Geographical dictation is the Russian geographical society on the initiative of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin annually from 2015. Last year the campaign acquired an international status, it was written in five parts of the world in 25 countries. Dictation is compiled in four variants: two for holding on the territory of the Russian Federation, one for abroad and one for dictation online. All versions of dictation are identical in complexity.
