The solemn ceremony on the centenary of the First world war, which took place at the arc de Triomphe in Paris was completed, the leaders went to the Elysee Palace.

In the ceremonies at the arc de Triomphe, took part more than 70 heads of States and governments, representatives of international organizations, including the leaders of Russia Vladimir Putin, USA Donald trump, Angela Merkel, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, UN Secretary-General antónio Guterres, the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, Director-General of UNESCO Audrey Azul.

Before the end of the ceremony macron «revived» the eternal flame at the Tomb of the unknown soldier, after which the leaders went to a dinner at the Elysee Palace.

The centenary of the First world war widely celebrated in France on November 11. After the festivities at the arch and lunch at the Elysee Palace almost all the leaders go to the Forum world.

The first world war (28 July 1914 — 11 November 1918) was the first military conflict of a world scale, which has been involved 38 of the then existing 59 independent States. This war which for the first time in human history the territory of two continents (Eurasia and Africa) and huge Maritime area, which radically redrew the political map of the world and became one of the most ambitious and bloody. During the war the armies were mobilized 70 million people, including killed and died of wounds up to 10 million. The greatest losses in Germany, Russia, France and Austria-Hungary (about 67% of all losses).
