The turnout in the elections of the head of Khakassia is projected at a high level, told journalists the Chairman of the electoral Commission of the Republic Alexander Tumanin.

«You know that the last few years in Khakassia there was a tendency for the reduced turnout. The turnout was down. But the surge we expected and polls show that the turnout needs to be high enough in the voting day», — said Coumadin.

According to the national electoral Commission of 10.00 turnout is 3.8% (9 of September was 4.3 per cent). According to the Republic electoral Commission, at early voting in 22 localities of the four districts with population of about 800 voters, the turnout was 43,88%.

In the second round of the election involved one candidate — Valentine Konovalov nominated by the regional branch of the Communist party. In the first round on 9 September none of the candidates, including then acting Governor of Khakassia Victor Zimin, are unable to recruit the necessary number of votes.

Only on the territory of the Republic on November 11 opened the 388 sites, including three time — Abakan at the hospital and jail and in a hospital in Sayanogorsk. In addition, two sites were opened in Chernogorsk at 06.00 (02.00 GMT), the workers of local enterprises were able to vote early.
