Voter turnout in the second round of elections of the head of Khakassia, at 19.30 (15.30 GMT) was 43.3 %, which is more than 4% higher than in the first round of the elections, told journalists the Chairman of the electoral Commission of the region Alexander Tumanin.

«The turnout at 19.30 is 43.3%. On September 9 at that time was 39,08%», — he said.

All polling stations completed the work in Khakassia, at 20.00 local time (16.00 GMT).

In the second round of elections of the head of the region involved one candidate — Valentine Konovalov nominated by the regional branch of the Communist party. In the first round on 9 September none of the candidates, including then acting Governor of Khakassia Victor Zimin, are unable to recruit the necessary number of votes.
