The Prime Minister of Finland, Juha Sipilä said that Russia may be related to the disruption of the functioning of the GPS system during NATO exercises. His statement leads the Finnish broadcaster Yle.

«It is possible that such violations is Russia,» said Sipilä, adding that the investigation of these disorders is not yet complete.

According to him, such actions could be a «message to all parties involved in military exercises».

Previously, Yle announced that Helsinki Moscow suspected that she allegedly interfered in the work of satellite navigation systems during a NATO exercise Trident Juncture. The aviation centre of Finland has warned pilots about the failures in the GPS this week. It was a question of territory from the Northern areas of Rovaniemi to the Norwegian border and to the East from kittilä to the Russian border — there, according to the Center for aviation, «GPS signal was unreliable», the system worked intermittently on 6-7 November. Evidence of Russian interference the Finnish side, however, failed.

«Uniform Trident»

The largest post-cold war NATO exercise Trident Juncture («Uniform Trident») were held in Norway from October 25 to November 7. In the scenario of collective defence when an attack of the enemy was involved 50 thousand troops, forces and means of all 29 allies and partners — Sweden and Finland.

Trident Juncture, as claimed by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, is not directed against any country, they indicate that «NATO is ready and able to defend all allies against any threat.»

At the same time, the European diplomatic source close to NATO, told RIA Novosti that NATO exercises Trident Juncture are intended to warn Russia against «military adventurism».

According to him, European countries — NATO members are concerned about a possible confrontation with Russia in the event of a military incident near the borders of the Alliance.

Clash of the Norwegian frigate and the tanker

Doctrine has not been without incidents, the largest of which occurred on Thursday, when a frigate of the Norwegian Navy «Helge Ingstad» collided with the tanker «Sola TS». The incident occurred in Agarden — located on the Islands of the municipality in the Central part of Norway.

Rescuers evacuated 127 crew members, including seven affected. On Board the frigate remained ten men who, as reported in the rescue centre, «keep control on ship».
