The Kremlin considers past elections in the Republic of Khakassia is absolutely fair and transparent, the need to assess them from the point of view of the inevitability of the candidate no, the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.

«As long as it is under the current electoral law, that, accordingly, there is no need anything to evaluate. The main thing that it was a legitimate election, and the elections were completely transparent, completely honest, so there are no problems,» said Sands, answering the question about how the Kremlin evaluates the experience on carrying out of uncontested elections in regions on example of Republic of Khakassia.

On Sunday, the candidate of the Communist party Valentin Konovalov won the second round of elections of the head of Khakassia Republic. According to the CEC, after processing 100% of protocols, Konovalov voted 101 405 members (57,57%), against — 72 498 (41,16%). In the first round on 9 September none of the candidates, including then acting Governor of Khakassia Victor Zimin, are unable to recruit the necessary number of votes.
