Ukrainian law enforcers reported on suspicion of failing to stop construction of the exhibition centre «Park» in the center of Kiev, which is also a helipad, a former chief of inspection of state architectural-building control, said Wednesday the press-Secretary of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Lysenko.

In October 2017, the press Secretary of the Prosecutor General Larisa Sargan reported that the building of the exhibition centre «Park» in the center of Kiev, where the so-called helipad ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, has been arrested and is in state ownership. According to her, August, 2017, a court in Kiev seized the land area more than 2 hectares and they are more than five of immovable property by address: Kyiv city, Parkovaya road, the owner of which is JSC «Amadeus Co»

«As a result of illegal actions of the former chief of Inspection state architecturally-construction control in Kiev… which resulted in the failure to stop unauthorized construction, illegal issuance of permits for preparatory and construction works of open company «Amadeus Co», led to the partial destruction of cultural monuments and monuments of national archaeological importance», — Lysenko wrote on his page in Facebook.

According to him, in the investigation of criminal case on the fact of construction of engineering and transport infrastructure (helipads) ex-official is suspected of abuse of power or official position which led to serious consequences, as it is officially notified. «The territorial community of Kyiv suffered damage totaling more than 190 million hryvnia (over 6.7 million USD – ed.)», — added Lysenko.

During the presidency of Yanukovych was constructed exhibition complex on Park Avenue in the center of Kiev with a helipad on the roof. According to Ukrainian media, it still belongs to the family of Yanukovych. Earlier, Ukrainian law enforcers opened a criminal case on fraud with land, which is built on the site.
