The court sentenced the resident of the state of California Naum Markovskogo to nine years in prison and fined one million dollars and his wife Irina to fifteen years in prison for organizing a scheme of illegal deliveries to Russia of components for the production of thermal imaging devices, said the U.S. Department of justice.

«Naum Morgovsky and Iran Morgovskaya admitted that from at least April 2012 to 25 August 2016, they, acting in collusion, put a company called Infratech in Moscow, Russia, without necessary licenses numerous thermal components, including electro-optical converters and lenses», — the document says.

According to the statement, the couple Morgovsky came from Ukraine and naturalized in the United States. The head of the family is now 69 years old, his wife of 67 years. Pair ordered accessories through his company Hitek International, assuring manufacturers that the details will not be exported, but in different ways and then transported them to Russia. The convicts knew that the export of such equipment requires permission of the state Department, however, did not try to obtain it, the report said.

After sentencing the judge ordered Morgovsky to 4 January 2019 to come voluntarily to law enforcement agencies and begin to serve your sentence.
