The British Embassy in Russia, a month ago announced a competition for the best name for living in the Embassy turtles, undecided — animal decided to call Tina turtle.

The British Embassy announced in social networks the competition for the best name for a turtle, on 11 October.

«We are happy to announce that the results of the competition the name of the selected Tina turtle», — stated in the message of the Embassy in Facebook.

The Embassy also expressed gratitude to the Moscow zoo, which helped to determine the sex of a turtle.

Earlier in the Embassy RIA Novosti said that they have inhabited or yellow-bellied slider turtle (Pond slider) from the family of freshwater. Embassy staff carefully look after her for almost 15 years, but could not give her name because it was not clear to which sex it belongs.

Leading herpetologist Moscow zoo, doctor of veterinary Sciences Dmitry Vasilev has informed Agency that is willing to help the staff of the British Embassy in this matter.
