The US continues to have on Russia’s unprecedented pressure trying to displace the large Russian companies from the market, said Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

«Competition on foreign markets will continue to grow, and Russia will continue to be under unprecedented pressure. Against us employ the most unscrupulous methods of doing business, including the extraterritorial application of national legislation», — said Lavrov at the meeting of the Business Council under the Minister.

According to Lavrov, the purpose of these actions is clear — «to displace the large Russian companies to limit the field of our foreign trade, and in the end, and it is almost spoken aloud, not hiding, to try to restrain the socio-economic development of the country.»

«We see that special diligence shown in the USA. Blackmail, ultimatums have become the hallmark of Washington and not only against Russia but also against American allies. In these circumstances, we must continue to intensify cooperation with our partners and peers in the EAEU, SCO and BRICS and other partners. To make maximum use of the opportunities linked with the participation of our country in various integration processes in the Asia Pacific region,» added the Minister.
