The city Council plans to ban people with a criminal record to work in children’s game rooms, shopping malls, as will be spelled out in the bill on the regulation of such rooms developed in the Duma, told journalists the Chairman of city Parliament Alexey Shaposhnikov.

Earlier it was reported that the Moscow city Duma will examine the draft Federal law regulating children’s playrooms in shopping centres and will bring it for consideration to the state Duma before the end of the year. The project is proposed to define the concept of activities for temporary childcare, to impose requirements on organizations and personnel engaged in temporary care, as well as set the standard playroom.

«In fact, the work of the animators in these rooms are similar to the activities of the teacher. Currently, teaching is not allowed persons convicted for crimes against life and health, against sexual integrity against minors. A similar ban needs to be installed and to persons engaged in childcare, playrooms», — said the speaker.

Shaposhnikov noted that educators such rooms should also have medical books, and room and toys must comply with hygienic standards, sanitary-epidemiological requirements and regulations of fire safety.

«The introduction of a single, clear and transparent requirements for the children’s play rooms does not mean «tightening the screws» for business, we just want to ensure the safety of our children and keep them health,» he said.
