The President of Russia Vladimir Putin after a meeting on the problems of drug provision in St. Petersburg, stopped at the pharmacy to ensure availability of essential drugs.

Going into the room together with the Minister of health Veronika Skvortsova and the acting Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov, the President explained to the duty pharmacist who served the visitor that they went to the meeting and he offered to stop.

Putin asked to invite the head of the pharmacy.

Head of Olga Novikova said that essential drugs are always available, because it is continuously monitored.

She also noted that the pharmacy is popular with locals and offers some of the lowest prices in the city.

While Putin was at the pharmacy, at the entrance there were passers-by who were attracted by the presidential motorcade.

«We thought you were sick,» joked the young man, referring to Putin. «No, thank God!» — the President laughed, wishing health to all the participants.
