The ship «Phoenix» in the crash in July near the island of Phuket in Thailand killed 47 people, was raised near the shores of the island, the newspaper reports the Bangkok Post citing the police.

According to the newspaper, the «Phoenix» was at a depth of 45 metres, his raising was engaged in Thai-Singapore rescue team with the help of ropes and cranes. On Monday, the wreckage of the ship will deliver to the docks for the study.

As the newspaper notes, now specialists have the necessary materials to establish the causes of the collapse of the vessel. «The government intends to find out the cause of the incident,» said a police spokesman, noting that all those responsible for the incident, including officials, will be punished.

The ship «Phoenix», the passengers were mainly tourists from China, capsized and sank South of the island of Phuket during a storm on the evening of 5 July. According to official figures, the disaster killed 47 people whose bodies were found during a multi-day search operation in the area of the crash.
