Russia, the largest gas, increasing its influence in Europe and Asia through the «Nord stream — 2», the «Power of Siberia» and «Turkish stream,» writes Bloomberg.

The Agency says that Russia is supplying blue fuel to Europe since the end of world war II. Last year the country has met a third of European demand for fuel. Experts also predict that by 2025, 40 percent of the total volume of gas on the continent will ensure that Moscow. This can contribute to increased gas demand of China and its Asian neighbors, as well as the reduction of production in the Dutch gas field Groningen.

It is noted that the increase in demand will lead and closing in 2022 the last nuclear reactor and a number of coal-fired power plants in Germany. «Additional supply from Russia, put Europe in a more comfortable position,» — says the publication.

Bloomberg adds that the gas projects in Russia and the enemies are, in particular, in the face of the American President Donald trump, who called it «a hostage of Moscow» and signed a law that him to impose sanctions against companies for cooperation with «Northern stream — 2». In addition, by 2022 Poland plans to stop purchases of Russian gas and replace it with Norwegian.
However, the German authorities emphasize that Moscow, for decades, remained a reliable supplier — this has not prevented neither the cold war nor the deterioration of relations because of the situation in Ukraine. Entrepreneurs in Germany also noted that the growing influence of «Gazprom» does not cause them concern.

«At some point politicians have to say, concerned about whether they or not, but for us it’s a business. This is a market with free access. All are welcome who want to sell their goods», — quotes Agency the words of the Director of the energy company RWE Andre Strack.

Three pipeline

The project «Northern stream — 2» involves the laying of two pipelines with a total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters per year off the coast of Russia through the Baltic sea to Germany through territorial or exclusive economic zones of Russia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Germany.

Moscow is also building the «Turkish stream» gas pipeline under the Black sea to Turkey. It consists of two lines with capacity of 15.75 billion cubic meters each. The first line is intended for gas supplies to Turkey, the second for countries in southern and South-Eastern Europe. The first thread is scheduled to enter service in 2019.

In may 2014 Gazprom and Chinese CNPC signed a contract on Russian gas supplies to China via the Eastern route. The contract concluded for 30 years provides for the annual supply of 38 billion cubic meters of Russian gas to China through the pipeline «Power of Siberia». Deliveries are scheduled to begin on 20 December 2019. The total length of the pipeline will be about four thousand miles, his job will be to provide eight compressor stations with a total capacity of 1331 MW.
