Argentina’s President Mauricio Macri has announced three days of mourning for the deceased crew of the submarine «San Juan», missing in November 2017.

«As a tribute to all of them, we declare three days of mourning», — reads the statement of the head of state.

Macri also appreciated the assistance of all countries involved in the search for the submarine. «Thank them all», he added.

Earlier, the commander naval base of Argentina in Mar del Plata Gabriel Attis reported that the submarine «San Juan» found deformed and with signs of an explosion.

The disappearance of the submarine

The submarine «San Juan» disappeared November 15, 2017, when he went from the naval base Ushuaia to Mar del Plata. On Board were 44 people, among them the first in the country’s history a woman-submariner Eliana Maria Krawczyk.

At the time of the last communication with the crew was informed about the accident. Representatives of the naval forces of the Republic also spoke about the single explosion that may be associated with the disappearance of the «San Juan».
