Eighteen reference centres to improve the quality control of diagnostic tests in Oncology is planned to create in Russia on the basis of leading medical institutions until 2024 within the framework of the national project «Health», the passport of the Federal project «Fight against cancer», which is available to RIA Novosti.

The Federal reference centres will be created on the basis of leading medical institutions, including the national medical research centres, they will identify and implement scientific and practical, methodological and informational tasks, to coordinate the activities of immunohistochemical, pathological laboratories and centers of analysis and also to interpret data of radiological researches in Russia, explains in the project.

Interregional reference centers will be leading the immunohistochemical, pathological laboratories and centers of tests, in addition, they will carry out the interpretation of the data of radiological methods of research of the Federal district, complemented by the document.

For these purposes from the Federal budget allocated 1.28 billion rubles, specified in the project.

As follows from the document, up to 2024 on the basis of multi-profile hospitals is also planned to organize a network of centers outpatient cancer care in every region of Russia. In addition to the «oncomouse», these centers will be engaged in medical observation of patients, carrying out chemotherapy treatment and monitoring of treatment, marked in the project.

The national project «Health», developed by the Ministry of health, provides eight different areas of health development, including the delivery of primary medical care, assistance with cardiovascular and oncological diseases, development of medical aid to children, training medical specialists, the digitization of healthcare, the development of national medical centres and medical tourism. Only the implementation of the project is allocated to 1.36 trillion rubles.

The Minister of health of Russia Veronika Skvortsova said that the most expensive will be the direction of Oncology, as the planned introduction of new clinical guidelines and nuclear medicine. In General, the allocated funds will be spent on construction and repair of health facilities, their equipping and training of physicians and implementation of digital technologies.
