China hopes that the upcoming G20 summit the parties Express strong support for the multilateral trading system and oppose trade protectionism policy, said on Friday assistant foreign Minister of China Zhang Jun.

The summit of «Big twenty» will be held in Buenos Aires from 30 November to 1 December.

«Currently, the multilateral trading system is under serious attack. This affects not only the development of the world economy, but also on the development of emerging markets and developing countries. The Chinese side hopes that the summit will give a clear signal in support of the system of multilateralism, will confirm the position of the G20 on anti-protectionism, as well as the joint construction of an open world economy and realization of common development», — said at the briefing, Zhang Jun.

The Chinese diplomat stressed that in the circumstances of strengthening mutual trust and deepening cooperation is crucial for the stable development of the world economy.

He also expressed hope that the summit countries will be able to increase the level of coherence of macroeconomic policies and work together to confront risks and challenges.

«This is consistent with the common interests of all parties and the expectations of the whole international community», — said the assistant foreign Minister of China.

The group of twenty (G20) is the Premier forum for discussing global economic and financial cooperation. The G20 brings together the largest developed and developing economies of the world, which accounted for about 85% of world GDP.
