Tense situation at checkpoints on the border is traditionally formed into the weekend at the exit of trucks from Belarus to the EU countries, especially on the Belarusian-Lithuanian border. As a rule, this direction in the queues are more than 600 heavy vehicles, and on some days, their number can reach 900.

The Chairman of the State customs Committee of Belarus Yuri Senko was previously explained that occasionally observe long queues of trucks at the border with Lithuania formed because of the desire of carriers to save on fuel. According to him, the carriers choose the route to the EU through the Belarusian-Lithuanian border, because here they are able to carry in European Union cheap fuel in their tanks throughout their volume, and that they have enough to travel to Europe where fuel is more expensive. When you enter Poland there are restrictions on the transportation of fuel.
