Provocation off the coast of the Crimea, organized by the Ukrainian naval forces, did not affect the situation on the Peninsula, it is absolutely quiet, said the head of the Republic Sergey Aksenov.

«The incident with the detention of Ukrainian military vehicles, staged a provocation off the coast of the Crimea, did not affect the situation on the Peninsula, it is absolutely calm. To provocations by neighboring States, the Crimean people have become accustomed, a style of Kiev and personally (the President of Ukraine Peter – ed.) Poroshenko», — wrote Aksenov on his page in the social network Facebook.

According to him, the government keeps the situation under control, and the FSB, the Russian Armed forces and interior Ministry protect the peace and tranquility in the Crimea.

«Our guards brilliantly, on a high professional level carried out all the assigned tasks, neutralized the threat, while avoiding casualties,» — said Aksenov.

The FSB has previously stated that the ships of naval forces of Ukraine «Berdyansk», «Nikopol» and «Yana Kapu», moving from the Black sea to Kerch Strait, violated the Russian border, did not respond to the legitimate demands of accompanying ships and boats of the border service of the FSB and Russia’s black sea fleet to stop immediately and dangerously maneuvered, they were detained. Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov has called the incident «a very dangerous provocation, which requires serious proceedings».

On the background of the incident with violation of Russian border by Ukrainian ships, the national security Council and defense of Ukraine adopted a decision to introduce martial law in the country for 60 days. Poroshenko has signed a decree on the national security Council decision to impose martial law. The decision must be approved by Parliament, which will convene for an extraordinary meeting on Monday at 17.00 GMT.
