MOSCOW, 26 Nov — RIA Novosti. Ukrainian leader Petro Poroshenko appealed to the Russian government, demanding the return of Ukrainian soldiers and ships, which are detained by the FSB for crossing the border.

«We demand to urgently transfer them to the Ukrainian side to take the first step towards de-escalation of the situation in the Azov sea», — reported on the website of the President.

Poroshenko also noted that he expects a quick response to his appeal.

On the eve of the Navy of Ukraine «Berdyansk», «Nikopol» and «Yana Kapu» in violation of articles 19 and 21 of the UN Convention on the law of the sea crossed the state border of Russia. The court went into closed temporarily Russian waters and a few hours of performing dangerous maneuvers, not responding to the demands accompanying the Russian boats and ships.

In the end, all three ships were detained. During the incident slightly injured three Ukrainian military.

The national security Council and defense of Ukraine has imposed a state of martial law, the army and the SBU is given in full combat readiness.
