The introduction of martial law in Ukraine will not affect the banking system of the country, said Monday at a meeting of the Council of national security and defense Council (NSDC) the head of the National Bank of Ukraine Yakov Smoliy.

On Monday at the meeting of the Council, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has supported the introduction of martial law. The Council has adopted a decision to introduce martial law in the country for 60 days, and now it must approve the Verkhovna Rada.

According to him, banks and offices after the introduction of martial law will work in normal mode.

Minister of information policy of Ukraine Yuriy stets at the same meeting, the Council stated that the imposition of martial law in the country will not affect the media.
